Porcelain bottle

Description

Limoges porcelain.

Wood kiln fired.

Size: Ø6¨

Same way as the porcelain bowls, this bottle was fired at 1500 degrees Celsius on a wood kiln.

No glazes are added, all tones, colors, and nuances are created by the volatilized ashes.

Firing porcelain in a wood-kiln pairs the extreme delicacy of the material with the powerful roughness of the procedure. The translucent, fine and soft porcelain gets flooded by the irrepressible force of flames and the hard ash rain.

Pieces that resist this clash convey a sense of beauty particularly strong: the beauty of contrasts, endurance and completeness.
